What’s it all about?
Team sports open up the opportunity for KidzWish children to experience the ups and downs of life. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose but no matter what we are all in it together. The philosophy of sport, helps build character, friendships, fitness and the joy of working together for that final goal.
And at KidzWish we believe every child has the right to enjoy sports. We’ve designed the program to provide specific sports activities, which accommodate a variety of skill levels and encourage children to be their best.
The program takes place in an indoor environment, with safe equipment and children are taught by knowledgeable coaches.
Eligibility
Illawarra & South Coast children who are sick, disadvantaged or have a disability and their siblings.

Program descriptions
The Sports Academy Program is for boys and girls aged 6-13 years to introduce children to early learning principles of basketball, cricket and soccer along with activities that increase their physical and social development.
The 'Wheelies' Sports Academy is for boys and girls with a disability aged 10-18 years to be part of a wheelchair basketball team. Children participate in a variety of fun activities and games which help improve their basketball and coordination skills.
When does the program run?
Classes runs every Tuesday from 4:00pm - 5:00pm during school terms at Shellharbour Sports Stadium located on Croome Road.
