What is the NDIS?

About the NDIS

The NDIS is a new national approach to helping people with disability, their families and carers to access care and support. It designed to support people with disability throughout their entire life according to each person’s needs and goals.

The NDIS is a major reform of disability services in Australia that will enable individuals to have greater choice and control of all services and supports they access.

The NDIS will provide Australians under the age of 65 who have a permanent and significant disability with the reasonable and necessary supports they need to live an ordinary life. Our focus will be delivering services for children and young people aged 0-18 years who live in the Illawarra and South Coast regions.
