Our progress

The update - ground breaking ceremony

Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis, parliamentary secretary for the Illawarra Gareth Ward, Shellharbour mayor Marianne Saliba and KidzWish child ambassadors were among the dignitaries at the official groundbreaking launch on Thursday 2 April, 2017.

The update - civil works commence

Thank you to the Affective Group for helping us build a new KidzWish Place by donating excavator machinery, an operator, trucks to cart dirt to the tip site, rollers, compactors, backhoe’s, watercarts, bobcats and more.

We hope to finish construction and occupy the new KidzWish Place during mid 2019. This is all very exciting especially because of the many challenges we have encountered along the way.

Live update - 35% of project completed

The update - Major funding announcement

This year we will concentrate all our efforts into raising these funds as we launch our community You Raise Me Up campaign, which will include a number of different key events people can attend.

We are also offering the community a special opportunity to leave their personal mark on the history of our new KidzWish Place by either buying a brick on the Noah Southall's Memorial Wall from $500 or help create a beautiful rainbow for donations less than $500. Each donation buys people their very own personalised brick/rainbow which will be located at the new KidzWish Place.

Donors can also support our dream by donating services and/or materials.

Services and materials we are still seeking

We have been busy raising funds for a new KidzWish Place but it’s a big job and we are still seeking:

  • Piers and shoring + concrete labour and supply + formwork + REO fix and supply + masonry supply + structural steels + roofing + handrails + roller shutters + carpentry labour + timber flooring and framing+ doors, door frames and door hardware + joinery + toilet partitions + cladding + stairs + walls and ceilings + insulation + arch’s and skirting + plus more!
