Capital campaign

Help us build a new KidzWish Place - a home full of love & laughter

The outcome of this capital campaign is the development of the new KidzWish Place in Flinders to improve access to our programs that directly benefit Illawarra and South Coast children who are sick, disadvantaged or have a disability.

The plans include 6 therapy rooms, 1 music & dance studio, 1 multi purpose sports hall, office administration rooms, covered play area and even a magic cupboard full of toys.

Our current KidzWish Place in Shell Cove only has 1 room to cater for all our programs and consequently cannot meet the growing demand, which is why a new KidzWish Place is an essential community resource to the families that receive the many programs that we provide.

Our community fundraising goal is $3.8 million.

Why do we need a new KidzWish Place?

Our research shows that there has been a 14% increase in the number of children aged 0-4 years and a 27% increase for children aged 5-9 years needing assistance with core support activities between 2006 and 2011 who are currently enduring 18-month wait lists to access therapy services in the region. The number of visits to KidzWish Place is projected to double over the next 5 years. Upon completion, the new KidzWish Place will ensure that we are able to make our programs available to this growing number of local children and families.

We would like to recognise and thank the original Yellow Wiggle & KidzWish ambassador Greg Page for his support in helping us raise awareness. Greg kindly decided to lend his star power to us because he believes in the impact our programs have in the lives of families that need that extra support, love and laughter.
