KidzWish Ambassadors Mat Campbell and Mick Lowe with Leo at the Love and Laughter Program Launch.
As part of The KidzWish Foundation's appeals program, we have granted Leo Lagana and his family a round the world trip
which includes a stop in New York to attend the 2009 National Conference for the Little People of America Inc. Leo will get the opportunity to meet other people just like him!
On Wednesday 1st April we launched our Love and Laughter Program at the WIN Entertainement Centre, it was here that The KidzWish Foundation surprised Leo and his family with an extra stop over in Los Angeles to visit DisneyLand. Pauline said she was so excited to hear about the side-trip.
"They snuck that one on me. They are such a warm foundation and I hope this one comes back to them ten-fold so they can do this for other kids"
The community has come on board to help us raise funds to send Leo on his dream holiday. Our friends at South Coast Travel have donated a character breakfast for Leo and his family to meet Mickey Mouse and other Disney characters. KidzWish Ambassador Mick Lowe and Troy Taylor and Ian Roberts from Score Memorabilia are aiming to raise $5000 within the community to contribute to the appeal. Contestant Elissa Helmat from Miss World Illawarra has also raised $1000 to put towards the trip.
In 2009 KidzWish have dedicated $100 000 to be spent helping other sick, disabled and disadvantaged children. |
